I gotta go

On Sunday night, you laid your head on your pillow and said to yourself, “I’m going to the gym after work and everyday this week.” Hello Monday morning, as you head to work, while anticipating all of that workout fuel throughout your day, contained within your lunch bag. The clock strikes departing time from work and you say to yourself, “I’ll just go to the gym tomorrow.” You negated the prior motivation to arrive to the gym and workout. Fast forward to Friday and you have committed the same crime against your lack of self motivation.

Pause, for a high kick split or a banana split in your rear for feeling guilty or not. No guilt is needed just a reminder to define the true value in exercising for yourself: are you trying to wean off medications; are you trying to lengthen your life expectancy; are you trying to lose weight to be more of a, physically active guardian or parent for children; are you trying to practice preventative measures concerning your complete wellness. These answers are private for you and not for anyone else.

At the end of the day the goal is to generally show up for self in order to show up for others in your life. I hope this post is one of mindfulness and motivation for you.

Now go to the gym! 😊

  • OMG I needed to read this today. Let me take my butt to the gym. I’ve been lazy a few weeks concerning not going to the gym. I’ll go this week as a promise to myself first. Thanks a lot RealVegan29.
